CommUnity411 Groups Overview
CommUnity411 meets in homes and coffee shops throughout the week in our beautiful city of Richmond. This is a safe place to connect, pray, grow in the likeness of Jesus, and serve the community locally and globally.
What is CommUnity4:11?
In Ephesians 4:11-13, God gave five different gifts, apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers, to build His church and to bring it to maturity and unity. We, the church, the body of Christ, strive to grow into the fullness of Christ.
What is the mission of CommUnity411?
The mission of CommUnity411 is to serve Jesus in our community and our world by growing maturing followers of Jesus Christ that Love God and Love People.
The vision of CommUnity411 is together we dream of:
- Becoming like Jesus together,
- Building community together,
- Praying together,
- Serving together, and
- Being on the mission together.
We believe Community411 Groups are the best place for the following FIVE purposes:
Here you have a place to belong, meet new people, build healthy friendships, and have fun together through weekly gatherings, social events, and outings.
It’s all about growing in the fullness of Christ. Here we emphasize to increase in the knowledge of 5 fold ministries as outlined in Ephesians 4:11. You can grow closer to God and experience real spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth by studying, discussing, and applying God’s word to your life, and by helping others along their journey of faith.
We value corporate prayer. Corporate prayer is not limited to your Sunday morning prayer with your church only but it also includes praying with your friends, your spouse, and other family members as well. Corporate prayer opens up your heart to the needs of others.
Not only does it bring encouragement, repentance, edification, joy, and the feeling of love among believers, but it shows togetherness and the body of Christ working together submitting to the will of God.
In prayer we are to align our lives with God’s purpose leaving our desires behind and growing in his likeness. Always remember it’s all about his glory and the advancement of his kingdom.
All the local Mission projects (CommUnityAcion68) and Global Missions here at Richmond Baptist Church is aligned with the Great Commission of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The CommUnity411 groups are expected to adopt one of the RB’s local & global Missions projects to serve the community locally and globally.
Here you have the opportunity to use your gifts & make a positive difference in the lives of others, demonstrating care, meeting practical needs, and helping others grow in faith & love.

As we seek his holiness together, we want to make disciples by reaching out to the community, especially men, and beyond.
SCHEDULE: Weekly on Mondays at 7:30-9:00 pm
During our weekly gatherings, we put in practice the SOAP method:
- Scriptures: we study God’s infallible word
- Observations: what’s God speaking to us?
- Application: we want to apply God’s truths in our lives
- Prayer: we trust the Holy Spirit to change us and enable us to do God’s will
Reading the Bible feels like feasting on an unceasing banquet, but we also enjoy outdoors activities like biking, picnics, and games. VISION: We see ourselves as Christians with the aim of being more like Jesus as we march forward on our life's journey. Our sincere intention of building community by improving personal relationships with God and with fellow Sisters in Christ can be achieved through Table Fellowship, Study of God's Word, and constant Prayer about the will and purpose of God, simultaneously opening people's hearts and minds.
While we are Serving people in our community, we are helping them grow in faith and in God's agape love. Being on the mission of Jesus Christ (i.e. spreading the gospel), it is of utter importance to be in action in all this, doing it together for the glory of God.
We are not children on skateboards anymore, but we are adults walking in the Holy Spirit in Jesus in God.

Explored Courses
We offer the following three Courses to help people to explore life, Christianity and grow as a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Life Explored is an exciting new way to share the gospel in today’s highly visual culture. The seven interactive sessions in Life Explored Course are based on stunning films shot all over the globe. Life Explored will help people uncover what they’re really living for, and see how, in Christ, God meets their deepest desires for happiness.
- Christianity Explored helps people to meet Jesus in the pages of the Gospel of Mark. It's all about one life, the life of Jesus, and it can be summed up in the answers to three questions; who is Jesus? Why did Jesus come? What does it mean to follow him?
- Discipleship Explored helps followers of Jesus turn up the gospel soundtrack to their lives. It goes beyond simply teaching the right moves - go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel - and focuses on the music which drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know. This eight-session journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life. It features brand-new documentary-style films and inspiring real-life stories from around the world, Bible studies and weekly reading plans, and a beautifully redesigned Handbook.
We love and enjoy fellowship with one another and most importantly with our Lord - in singing, sharing, and going deep in His words. Every week, everyone is encouraged to take turns leading his/her devotion, followed by sharing and discussion and how this can be applied in our daily lives.
